Kota (Kaithoon)
Kota Doria, originating from Rajasthan, is a lightweight cotton–silk fabric distinguished by its khat check weave, created on traditional looms for breathability and structure.
Adil Hussain, a handloom weaver working within this tradition, continues this practice through finely woven Kota textiles adapted into suit forms. His work reflects a continuity of regional weaving knowledge, often complemented by hand processes such as block printing, where fabric, technique, and everyday wear remain closely interconnected.
