Dark pink, banded at the pallu
A solid dark pink body, checked tone on tone so the colour stays clean, with a broad banded pallu in metallic gold and beige.
The design
The checks sit close in tone to the pink, which keeps the body reading as one colour from a distance and as pattern up close. The pallu is banded horizontally in gold and beige across its full width. The bugdi border reads the same on both faces.
How it is woven
Handwoven on a pit loom in Mominpura, Maheshwar, with the weft inserted by hand and the patterning set on a dobby.
