Saanjh — Ombre Kota Doria Sarees
Cotton Kota Doria sarees in two-tone ombre — one colour blending into another across the drape — on the light, semi-sheer Kota Doria weave, handcrafted and maker-direct from Kota.
About ombre Kota Doria sarees
Saanjh takes its name from dusk — the hour when one colour quietly gives way to another — and that's the idea behind this ombre edit of cotton Kota Doria sarees. Each piece moves between two different colours across the drape, not shades of one colour: yellow into pink, lavender into grey, lime into pink, peach into grey, and more. That's a true colour change across the drape, not the single-colour, self-tone motif of a tone-on-tone weave.
Most sarees carry the ombre alone or with a fine gold edge; a few add a jaal or a scrolling vine as well. All sit on the same open, semi-sheer Kota Doria weave, handcrafted and maker-direct from our Kota weaving unit.
What's in this collection
- Each saree blends two different colours across the drape, not shades of one
- Tones: yellow-pink, pink-blue, lavender-grey, lavender-taupe, lime-pink, lavender-blue, pink-peach, grey-pink, peach-grey, peach-lime
- A few carry an added jaal, vine, or gold edge — the rest are ombre alone
Styling & care
The gradient does most of the visual work, so these pair easily with a solid blouse in either tone. Hand wash cold, dry in shade so the colour doesn't bleed, and iron on low.
