Black Cotton Kota Doria Saree, Gold Border | Kislay

Tone-on-tone motifs sit across a deep black Kota Doria cotton, framed by a gold border.

Why this piece

•
Light and semi-sheer — the open cotton weave stays cool and near-weightless; wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse for full cover.

•
Black and gold — medium leaf motifs tone-on-tone on black, with a metallic gold band — the dressiest pairing in the set.

•
Every family photo — a festive pick that reads right in a group shot.

The pattern

Medium leaf motifs repeat across the deep black body in a matching tone, and a straight metallic gold band runs the edge. Black and gold is the dressiest combination here, and the lightest to wear of the dark pieces.

The fabric

Kota Doria is a cotton khat weave of tiny square checks you can see against the light. It is semi-sheer by nature, which keeps it light for evening functions and festive gatherings.

Learn More

Is this Kota Doria all cotton?
Yes — cotton in the open khat (square-check) weave. That open weave is what keeps this black piece light, semi-sheer and breathable.

What is the border?
A straight metallic gold band frames the deep black body — the dressiest colour-and-border pairing in the set.

How sheer is it, and how should I pair it?
It is semi-sheer, as cotton Kota Doria is. Wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse; a black or skin-tone petticoat keeps the ground even.

Does it come with a blouse piece, and how do I wash it?
Yes, an unstitched blouse piece is included. Handwash gently in cold water and dry in shade; the embroidery holds best with gentle care.
