The print

Small geometric shapes and dot clusters run all over the olive green in white, at a scale fine enough to read almost as texture. The dupatta and the sleeve ends carry a wider band of the same geometry, printed much more densely, which gives the set its finish.

Styling

Olive is the safest colour in a working wardrobe and the matte, close pattern keeps this one firmly daily and office wear. Silver or oxidised jewellery works better than gold here, and a plain white or off-white piping picks up the print without competing with it.

How can I tell this is genuinely hand block printed?
Look closely at the repeats. Every motif is stamped from a hand-carved wooden block, so the register shifts a little and no two impressions land identically. A screen or machine print gives a flat, perfectly uniform repeat; this one does not.

Will the white bleed into the olive green?
No. The fabric is colour-fast and does not bleed on the first wash, so lighter areas of the print stay clean.

What does the unstitched set include?
Three separate unstitched pieces: top, bottom and dupatta. The top and bottom are 2.5 metres each and 44 to 45 inches wide, and the dupatta is 2.5 metres and 35 to 36 inches wide.

How heavy is the set to wear?
It is light. The top, bottom and dupatta together weigh 600 to 650 g, so a full stitched set stays comfortable through a working day.
