Cream leaf motifs scatter across a bright cyan blue silk.
The leaf is small and repeats all over, which keeps the cyan reading as one clean sweep of colour rather than a busy pattern. One piece carries an extra ornamental band along its edge, finished with a fringe, so there is a natural place for the dupatta to fall.
Made by hand in Bhagalpur
Each leaf is stamped individually with a hand-carved wooden block by artisans in Bhagalpur, a long-established centre of Indian silk textiles. No screen, no machine. The small differences in ink weight and placement from one leaf to the next are the signature of that process. The colours are colour-fast and do not bleed on the first wash.
What arrives
- Top: 2.5 m, 44 to 45 inches wide
- Bottom: 2.5 m, 44 to 45 inches wide
- Dupatta: 2.5 m, 35 to 36 inches wide
- All three pieces together weigh only 600 to 650 g
That is a generous 2.5 m on every piece, which is what makes a straight kurta set possible up to 4XL, with the length customised for larger sizes. The silk is opaque and needs no lining, though a lining can be added to elevate the look. Light enough for office and daily wear, bright enough for a day function.
