Green Cotton Kota Doria Saree, All-Over Floral | Gulbadan

Small florals scatter all over a soft moss-green Kota Doria cotton, inside a scalloped border.

Why this piece

•
Light and semi-sheer — the open cotton weave stays cool and near-weightless; wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse for full cover.

•
All-over, not placed — small florals repeat across the whole body, so the green reads detailed rather than plain.

•
Light through the day — easy on the skin for a full day of work and travel.

The pattern

Small floral motifs repeat all over the soft moss-green body, and a continuous scalloped white border runs the length. The repeat is even and fine, so the green stays quiet but never bare.

The fabric

Kota Doria is a cotton khat weave of tiny square checks you can see against the light. It is semi-sheer by nature, which keeps it cool for summer and long office days.

Is this Kota Doria all cotton?
Yes — cotton in the open khat (square-check) weave. That open weave is what keeps this green piece light, semi-sheer and breathable.

Is the embroidery placed or all-over?
It is all-over — small floral motifs repeat across the whole body at a fine, even scale, inside a continuous scalloped border.

How sheer is it, and how should I pair it?
It is semi-sheer, as cotton Kota Doria is. Wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse; a green or skin-tone petticoat keeps the ground even.

Does it come with a blouse piece, and how do I wash it?
Yes, an unstitched blouse piece is included. It is hand-dyed, so handwash gently in cold water and dry in shade; with gentle care the green holds.
